Background:
The patient is a 5 year old pediatric patient with a diagnosis of Neuroblastoma from August 2006. He started with severe abdominal pain and the appearance of cervical lymph nodes. In 2006, a biopsy of the lymph node revealed Neuroblastoma. He underwent an MRI and CT Pet scan that reported a lesion on both kidneys, colon, pelvis, knee, shoulders and cervical lymph nodes. He received 8 sessions of chemotherapy in August 2006 with a poor response. The patient received a second stage of chemotherapy from December 2006 through March 2007, again with a poor response. October 23, 2007, sonogram reported the following: the border of the right kidney showed a solid mass of 36 x 41 mm, low vascularity. Lymph nodes in the neck, axilla and inguinal had high vascularity.

Treatment and conclusion:
The patient received SonoPhotoDynamic Therapy for 10 days. November 1, 2007, sonogram reported lymph nodes of the right neck with no changes, but the lymph nodes of the left neck, axilla and inguinal area showed a 40% decrease in vascularity. The solid mass on the right kidney reduced in size to 31 x 34 mm with no vascularity.
